Meet Me on the Star Ferry.

Venice, a city like no other. Like Verona, there are not many stories to tell about our trip to this beautiful corner of the world (apart from the obvious - getting lost, the beauty of canals and the pleasant absence of cars and thus crazy Italian drivers).

We were perfectly content to wander around aimlessly, tourist watch and soak up the atmosphere.

Amy nearly had a heart attack when she realised these people were willingly chilling with the pigeons. Even I had to agree that they were freaks.

It was a terribly overcast day so none of the photos came out well. Not even my favourite habit of over-doing the effects can save them.

In the late afternoon we decided to catch the ferry to Burano (otherwise known as the Lace Isle). Little did we know it would take 45 min. Even-more-little-did-we-know, that was only the FIRST leg. We calculated that if we continued on, we would miss our dinner with the Tomasi's. So we enjoyed our little sea-side stop and headed back. Lucky I like boat trips.
